• Do you have pain in your legs?
  
• Do you experience swelling or heaviness in your legs?
• Do you have varicose veins? (These are bluish, bulging veins)
• Do you have shin discoloration or open wounds?
• Do you experience burning or itching of the lower leg?
• Do you have "spider veins" (These are small veins close to the surface of the skin)

Many factors contribute to the presence of venous disease, including age, gender, family history, multiple pregnancies, and a profession that requires standing for long periods.

Using ultrasound to scan your leg(s), your physician will determine if superficial venous reflux is present. At the time of your consultation visit your physician will recommend the appropriate treatment.
